We’ve been invited to share music with isolated indigenous communities in the island archipelago of Bocas del Toro, Panama. These are communities off the grid, surviving on subsistence living, and living without music. We want to share the gift of music with this area of Panama all while gaining a truer perspective of the world through new relationships and cultural experiences.

 

Just like they’re isolated from us and our culture or way of living, we’re isolated from theirs. We will bridging our mutual cultural curiosities through music and end this first journey with a deeper understanding of the world we live in.

The purpose of this trip is to leave the gift of music with the indigenous communities we visit. Our group will spend five days in three different communities and work with the community to develop sustained community music programs.
